Takshaka uses carefully balanced precious metal conductors, multiple strand sizes, and the evolved Eddie Twist® geometry to deliver current with authority while preserving composure. The goal is not brute force. It is control. It is stability under demand. It is dynamic headroom without hardness.

What's in a Name? The Legend of Takshaka

In ancient Indian mythology, Takshaka was the king of the serpent deities... a powerful and revered naga known for wisdom, strength, and protection. As the ultimate Snake God, he embodied the perfect symbolism for what this cable represents: unrivaled performance, elegant power, and elite craftsmanship. Among all our creations, this one sits at the top, so it was only fitting to give it a name worthy of that legacy.

A Completely Re-Engineered "Eddie Twist" Design

Takshaka takes the beloved Eddie Twist to an entirely new level. It’s built with a precisely calculated combination of 24k gold, pure red OFHC copper, and absolute pure silver (never plated, always solid) in four different conductor gauges. The new geometry dramatically increases surface area and optimizes the air dielectric, leading to jaw-dropping clarity, imaging, and musicality. Compared to the Signature Series, it contains 40% more precious metal content, delivering an even deeper sonic truth.

Below is a photo of an actual Takshaka conductor strand. You can clearly see the multiple wire sizes working together, along with the intentional air gaps that are central to the Eddie Twist design.

Every note, every breath, every nuance is rendered with surgical precision... yet it never sounds sterile. It sounds alive.

The one word description that I could give, would be 'more'. There is more definition to the bass, there is more detail on the top, more air and breath between the instruments, more texture, more black depth in-between, more visceral impact. Just... more!

You Don’t Just Hear It. You’re In It

Takshaka doesn't just place you in front of the performance with a huge stage. It places you inside it. The soundstage becomes immersive and three-dimensional, allowing instruments and vocals to float effortlessly in the space around you, and pinpoint precision exactly where they are supposed to be. It’s not hyperbole. It’s just what happens.

Next-Level Shielding Without Compromise

Quick note on the Takshaka shielding:

Many cable manufacturers utilize some variation of a coaxial design, where the primary (hot) conductor runs through the center and the return path is formed by a braided shield surrounding it. In this configuration, any interference that strikes the shield is directly carried along the return path. Some designs incorporate a dedicated return wire but still tie the shield at both ends, effectively making the shield part of the signal circuit.

While common, this approach introduces higher capacitance on the return side and creates impedance mismatches, ultimately compromising signal integrity. To put it simply, it’s like running on a smooth sidewalk to the store, but then having to slog through a swampy bog to get back home.

Because I custom-build every cable by hand, I’m able to employ a very important difference. The Takshaka design features our Hanging Faraday shielding design. A dedicated feed conductor, a dedicated return conductor, and independent shielding that encloses both. Crucially, the shield is connected only at the source end, specifically at the ground pin of the outlet. This configuration, known as a "hanging ground," allows the shield to effectively dissipate any interference without becoming part of the signal path itself. It's protecting the signal, without affecting the signal.

The result is comprehensive protection for your signal without introducing additional capacitance or impedance mismatch. This design functions much like a Faraday cage around the conductors blocking external interference from entering and containing any potential emissions from the cable itself. Not only does this preserve the integrity of your signal, but it also prevents the cable itself from interfering with other nearby cables and components.

Think of it as a Faraday cage: the shield protects without interfering, preserving pristine signal flow and preventing noise leakage into other nearby components.

One Power Cable That Powers It All

The Takshaka power cables are triple-shielded and built with cumulative conductor gauge between 9 and 10, meaning you can power your amp, conditioner, components etc with one model of cable. No need for separate power cables, "this one can only be used here, and that cable has to go there" strategy. Takshaka does it better with one model that works anywhere. Less confusion with no compromise.

Lead Time & Curing

Once your order is in, it goes into the build queue. Refer to the Build Queue indicator on our website for the current turnaround time. Once its turn comes up, we’ll hand-craft your cable and, unless you opt out, run it through a 200-hour curing process before shipping. That means it’s almost fully cured, or "burned in" and ready to perform the moment it hits your system. A little bit of settling time is always suggested, but for the most part, they're ready to go!

Build queue is typically about 8–10 business days, and including curing, most orders ship in about three weeks. But please refer to the Build Queue Indicator for up-to-date reference.

Got a Snake River Audio cable you want to upgrade from? Let’s make it easy.

We can accept genuine Snake River Audio cables for trade-in. Just contact us first at SnakeRiverAudio@gmail.com. Once received, we’ll evaluate it based on condition, age, and type, and assign a fair trade-in value, usually 50–75% of original retail.

We list used cables at near break-even, so your trade-in value will reflect actual resale (minus payment and shipping fees.)

I am currently working on a process/partnership to be able to accept non-SRA cables as trade-ins. If you have cables that you don't need any more, even other brands, email and let me know what you've got. I'll need make, model, brand, length, terminations, age (if known), and a couple of pictures to be able to give you a close estimated trade-in value.
