Balanced XLR Interconnects
Balanced XLR interconnects connect components like DACs, preamps, and power amplifiers. In a balanced connection, the signal travels on two conductors. One carries the signal and the other carries an inverted copy. When the receiving component recombines them, any potential noise picked up along the cable is canceled out.
Because of that, the cable carrying the signal matters. Conductor quality, geometry, spacing, and shielding all play a role in how cleanly the music moves from one component to the next.
