Signature Series Mamushi RCAs
Oh boy, if you want depth and clear, fast bass, invest in these cables ! I had already introduced two REL S/812 subs but felt like the bass was thin and in the background when it should have been more forward. Enter the Mamushi XLR and suddenly all elements of the music including the bass were present and vibrant. These cables don't enhance the sound, they just carry the whole song without degradation from component to component.

Along with many other audio enthusiasts, I’ve been in the pursuit of the perfect cable menagerie. Years ago, I came to the conclusion that a full cable loom by one manufacturer would never work. Impossible! Too many different components by different designer/engineers. Yet, somehow, I’ve ended up with an awful lot of Snake River cables in my system. Actually, the majority %. How did that happen?

The latest addition is the Mamushi IC: DAC →Preamp. The previous IC was no slouch. Very highly regarded. My system already had a very quiet, black background. The Mamushi made it even quieter and blacker. Incredible! Now, there’s a delicate texture and sweetness that was not there earlier. There’s plenty of detail - but its rich and organic. The music is absolutely intoxicating.

Jonny runs a class operation. The cables, the packaging, the customer service is all top-drawer. I love the surprise treats that he includes in the shipments. I need to stop visiting his website. It’s getting costly. But, it sure is rewarding.

Signature Series Mamushi RCAs - I live in England, and I bought a used pair of Mamushi Signature interconnects through eBay.
I listen mostly to classical piano and orchestral music, and I had been using silver interconnect cables from other makers between my CD player and preamp and between the preamp and the power amp. The sound was very clear, detailed and transparent.
I placed the Mamushi interconnects between the CD player and the preamp. My first thoughts were that the sound was less detailed than before. Listening further, I realised that in fact there was just as much detail, and often there was more. The difference was in the balance of the sound. As a piece is being played, the musicians will give prominence to one group of instruments and then to another; or there may be a focus on a short solo passage for a particular instrument. If the recording has captured these details, the Mamushi interconnects let me hear the balance chosen by the performers. I can hear the aspects of the piece to which they gave prominence, and at the same time I can also hear other strands which form the background.
Similarly, in a solo piano piece, I can hear more clearly than before when the pianist brings out a phrase somewhere in the midband or in the bass, but at the same time it is possible to hear more of what

The Signature Speaker cables strike a very elegant balance of inner detail and musicality. They are lively without being shrill or etched and have lovely top extenstion without any sibilance or fatigue. I am toe-tapping and sitting in front of my system floating on the music without a care about detail, what's there and what isn't. Admittedly, I can be a nervous type of audiophile and listen to certain songs impatiently looking for familiar subtle musical phrases or details. That desire has left (at least for the moment) as, while all the details are there, I am more lost in the joy of the music.

The stage is so well defined, deep and wide, it's a delight to wander through. A springtime walk in the park staring at the sot and changing clouds against a crisp and sparkling blue sky. The Yosemite of a musical landscape! The speaker cables revealed a shortcoming in my power cord match for my source. When I put in your IC's that became more apparent and when I initially put your power cord in the AMR, I was set back in my seat at first, but had to jump up and down with excitement at the insane amount of detail and imaging.

My musicality doppelganger needed satisfying. I was sold on the speaker cable and trying hard to find a combo of other wires to make it all work. My power cords have been stable and a mainstay of my system, but the overly detailed path I had traveled led deep into the resolution woods. Now I needed to find one to make the other wires work.

I have a few very nice interconnects* on hand that have served me very well and tried many combos of them with each other and the SRA Cottonmouth Sig. In the end, the synergy of an all SRA IC/SC loom can't be bested in my system by what I have.

The sonicscape painted by your cabling is deeply transparent and transporting. It's almost hyperreal in it's ability to convey information while almost hypnotize me into not caring about it. That is their best quality. It's like walking around in a Maxfield Parrish painting.

In rational terms, the pace is spot on, the stage perfectly proprotioned for me, moderately tall and very wide and deep, the bass controlled, not tubby or bloated, the highs extended, detailed and non-fatiguing and the midrange like controlled silk. Leading edges are brisk and accurate, transients easy and decay is long and a delight. The different cymbal strikes on the beginning of Dave Matthews' "Pay for What You Get" stand out as beauty in detail, waveform and a forceful delicacy.

Hayden's "Robbed Blind" has long been a test track for me for harsh vocal reproduction. I always heard it as forward with a production pushing the uppermid vocal band too far....but, (wait for it....) IT'S MULTIPLES OF HIS OWN VOICE jsut offset enough to be grating, but not with your cables. HA! I never heard that before and it was just great to experience that. So, the resolution of your cables are really remarkable, especially considering they don't tip the scale into the etched fatigue camp at all.

I waited 200 hundred hours before writing my impressions of your Mamushi interconnect and speaker cables. All I can say is I am ecstatic at the sound of my system using your cables. I am not sure how you capture the maximum inner detail, nuance, and musicality of the recording, but I sure will enjoy your creation. The sound stage is the widest and deepest I have experienced; without sounding analytical and without any hint of harshness. The quiet between the notes is amazing; as if the sound emerges from complete blackness! As I have listened with my eyes closed I am left with the impression I could leave my chair and walk several feet into the sound stage and touch the performers; they seem three dimensional in space and all positioned perfectly in the sound stage. Truly amazing. I never realized how much my former networked cables stripped my music of the body and meat of the notes! You are the best kept secret in audio! Keep up the good work!

Mamushi magnetic shielding

The Signature Series RCA and XLR interconnects are also available in our Mamushi configuration.

In this format, the conductors are sandwiched between strips of medium-strength multipole magnetic material. This magnetic structure provides an additional layer of EMI and RFI mitigation without introducing excessive capacitance or impedance.

The conductor recipe inside the cable remains exactly the same. The Mamushi version is not re-voiced or altered in balance. It is the same Signature Series performance, with added magnetic protection for systems that benefit from it.

Lead Time & Curing

Once your order is in, it goes into the build queue. Refer to the Build Queue indicator on our website for the current turnaround time. Once its turn comes up, we’ll hand-craft your cable and, unless you opt out, run it through a 200-hour curing process before shipping. That means it’s almost fully cured, or "burned in" and ready to perform the moment it hits your system. A little bit of settling time is always suggested, but for the most part, they're ready to go!

Build queue is typically about 8–10 business days, and including curing, most orders ship in about three weeks. But please refer to the Build Queue Indicator for current reference.

We can accept genuine Snake River Audio cables for trade-in. Just contact us first at SnakeRiverAudio@gmail.com. Once received, we’ll evaluate it based on condition, age, and type, and assign a fair trade-in value, usually 50–75% of original retail.

We list used cables at near break-even, so your trade-in value will reflect actual resale (minus payment and shipping fees.)

I am currently working on a process/partnership to be able to accept non-SRA cables as trade-ins. If you have cables that you don't need any more, even other brands, email and let me know what you've got. I'll need make, model, brand, length, terminations, age (if known), and a couple of pictures to be able to give you a close estimated trade-in value.
