Takshaka Phono Cable (DIN-RCA / DIN-XLR)
A phono cartridge produces an extremely low-level signal, measured in millivolts. At that scale, noise is not a small problem. It is the problem.
The Takshaka Phono cable is built specifically for that reality. It takes everything learned from years of phono cable design and pushes it further, using the full Takshaka architecture to preserve signal integrity while eliminating noise without choking the music.
Takshaka combines pure silver, pure 24k gold, and high-purity OFHC copper in carefully controlled ratios and multiple strand sizes. Silver brings speed, resolution, and low-level retrieval. Gold adds density, tonal richness, and harmonic structure. Copper anchors the presentation with weight and stability.
Used incorrectly, those materials fight each other. Here, they work together. The result is a balanced, unforced presentation that lets the cartridge speak naturally, without glare, without thickness, without artificial emphasis.
But with phono-level signals, conductor design alone is not enough. Shielding becomes critical.
This is where Takshaka separates itself.
The Hanging Faraday® shielding fully encloses the conductors, acting as a true noise barrier, while remaining electrically isolated from the return path. Unlike conventional shield designs that tie into the signal circuit and increase capacitance, this approach protects the signal without loading it.
The path stays clean. The signal stays intact. The noise stays out.
The audible result is immediate and measurable in real listening: quieter backgrounds, stronger micro-dynamics, more dimensional space, and a level of low-level detail retrieval that standard shielding approaches tend to smear or suppress.
Subtle textures come through intact. Harmonics develop naturally. The system breathes instead of compressing under noise.
Silent background. Full expression. Nothing lost.
Available in DIN-RCA and DIN-XLR configurations.
Built by Hand, One at a Time
At Snake River Audio, nothing is mass-produced. Every Takshaka cable is custom-built from the bare wire up per order. No shortcuts. No outsourcing. Just real craftsmanship, by me and my team, one cable at a time.

Lead Time & Curing
Once your order is in, it goes into the build queue. Refer to the Build Queue indicator on our website for the current turnaround time. Once its turn comes up, we’ll hand-craft your cable and, unless you opt out, run it through a 200-hour curing process before shipping.
That means it arrives nearly fully settled and ready to perform immediately in your system.
Build queue is typically about 8–10 business days, and including curing, most orders ship in about three weeks. Always refer to the Build Queue Indicator on the home page for current timing.
You’ll receive automated updates throughout the process, including tracking once shipped.
30-Day Trial. In Your System, On Your Terms
I get it, you need (and should) hear it in your room, not some showroom or hotel suite at an audio show. That’s why we offer a 30-day risk-free trial. If you're not blown away, return the cable in like-new condition and get a full refund, (minus shipping and processing fees). Read more details about our return policy here
Less than 3% of our cables are ever returned. In fact, over 40% of our customers come back for more. That says more than I ever could.
