Adder Silver - balanced XLR interconnects

Having already bought a Boomslang digital cable from Snake River Audio and being mightily impressed by its performance, I ordered balanced Adder (silver) interconnects to fit between DAC and preamp. My system was already wired with solid-core silver interconnects throughout and I did not expect such an improvement, going from the previous 99.99% to SRA’s 99.999% - but there’s more to it than that, and the improvement again is breathtaking! The usual clichés apply - extended highs with much greater clarity, definition and absolutely no “glare”, particularly instruments like piccolo, xylophone, cymbals and other high metal percussion; extended bass all the way down (much more so than previously) with real definition, attack and weight. There’s greater dynamic contrast, and so much more transient attack and soft detail than I’ve ever heard before and which I know should be present because I’ve spent many decades as a solo flute player in professional symphony, chamber, and opera orchestras. When hearing the sound of orchestral instruments up close the higher frequencies, overtones / harmonics are very prominent. This is most obviously the case with brass instruments, but actually includes all others. These highs become obscured from a distance when absorbed by the cushioning effect of the air before reaching the ears of listeners in the audience. Many hi-fi enthusiasts, being unaccustomed to hearing these upper partials, believe that when they do it’s caused by “glare”. The SRA "Adder" cables allow the true sound through, without glare, but complete with all the (usually missing!) uppers which give a greater sense of reality to the original sound as recorded. I've already placed another order, and I'll be completely rewiring my system with these cables as soon as possible! Thanks to Jonny & the SRA team!
